Thing 2:

Having the ability to get notification of new news is very helpful and time saving. I think this will help a person stay up to date with the info they wish to read about more easier that the old conventional way of visiting each web site individually. This also is a great and easy way for faculty to reach a band a people without any work of finding email address and such, just post your info and your done. I found it rather easy to search for my pages in the google reader add a subscription area, but copying a URL is helpful in case you stumble upon a web site that your not familiar with.
Haven't' come across anything spectacular yet... I'll keep you posted.

Thing 4

Joining the crown in myspace, facebook, and linkedin. Finding people is sometimes to easy. In any of the programs doing a simple search for you person you are searching for is easy as long as they don't have an obscure user name. Certainly putting images of your work is a good idea, better yet add a link to your web site. Although it's easy to get caught up in the everyday language and picture sending, just keep in mind that a potential employer may be searching your name on the internet. Do you really want them to be reading how great of a weekend you had? Keep things professional, have a little fun, but watch the context that you will be portrayed as from and outside point of view.

Thing 3

Well the use of the AI portal is very useful, not only can you receive up to date info from student and faculty, but you can see your grades, find out if you have any holds on your account and learn more about your travels through your schooling.
The resource that I use the most is the email, although I have since forwarded that to my hotmail account, I still pop in every once and awhile to see my account information.
If something could be changed it should bethe button to activate the Gmail system. Unlike before where the e-mail button was in line with the rest of the buttons like register, grades, bill pay. I don't understand why they made the "button" apart from them and made it look like a banner...

First day to a new world

Well here is the start of something new. Blogging, everyone has heard of it, but I've been reluctant to start it. But here goes nothing, over the course of the next few months, hopefully this will grow as the knowledge from learning the 16 things.
